Overview

The technical consultant reviews an organization's internal processes and aids the customer IT department and staff in providing initial technical support to end-users. We are currently looking for candidates for potential roles in the future as we are growing our organization. 

 

 

Responsibilities

Dynamics Reporting Services

  • Perform analysis of client reporting requirements
    • Interview end-users as required
    • Compile exhibits
    • Develop mock ups as required
    • Develop reporting specifications
      • Format
      • Data requirements
      • Parameter
      • Drill down requirements
      • Security requirements
      • Deployment objectives
    • Prepare estimates for development
  • Develop custom reporting solutions
    • Data model analysis
    • Compose reporting data
      • via SQL stored procedures
      • via data warehousing (SSIS) to staging tables
    • Develop reports utilizing SSRS, SQL Analysis Services, SmartList, SmartView, Excel, etc.
    • Deploy reports into customers live installation
    • Configure security on reports to clients specifications
    • Perform UAT upon completion of reporting deployment
    • Create documentation to support use of custom reporting
  • Perform maintenance and/or customize existing client reporting solutions
  • Upgrade custom reporting solutions to work with upgraded releases of ERP or CRM application software
  • Perform reporting migrations to new servers as required
  • Provide technical support for client reporting solutions

 

Data Conversion Services

  • Develop data conversion plans and testing strategies
  • Perform data extraction from various client legacy ERP & CRM systems
  • Perform source data model analysis
  • Perform data mapping
  • Perform data normalization and transformation
  • Develop integrations using various tools to migrated data from legacy systems into Dynamics ERP or CRM destinations utilizing various tools: integration manager, scribe, smartconnect, eConnect, SSIS, SQL Scripts, etc.
  • Perform reconciliations and validation on converted data to ensure accuracy

 

Integration Services

  • Perform analysis of client integration requirements (inflow/outflow)
    • Interview end-users as required
    • Identify source data
    • Define destination
    • Develop design approach supported with Visio flow diagrams
    • Develop integration specifications
      • Source data format
      • Destination data format
      • Integration parameters
      • Integration validation
      • Integration error reporting and failure process
      • Integration development tool
      • Integration execution timing (batch, real-time, trigger, scheduled, etc.)
      • Security requirements
      • Deployment objectives
    • Prepare estimates for integration development

 

  • Create integration testing plans
  • Develop end user and technical documentation for developed integrations
  • Archive integration code into Turnkey TFS platform.
  • Upgrade custom integrations to work with upgraded releases of ERP or CRM application
  • Provide technical support for client integration solutions 

Account Management (Every Employee)

  • Interact with Clients in a professional manner to maintain and add value to the Turnkey-Client relationship.
  • Work with Turnkey Consulting and Management teams to proactively prevent and/or resolve Client issues and conflicts.
  • Interact with Turnkey Consultants and Management teams in a manner that ensures clients view the Turnkey team as a professional, competent, and cohesive unit.
  • Be diligent and perceptive in recognizing clients’ needs so Turnkey can take the initiative in providing solutions to those needs.

 

Administrative (Every Employee)

  • Utilize Outlook calendar and Turnkey time keeping system to track 100% of client and non-client related activities.
  • Employee agrees to maintain an up-to-date Outlook calendar
  • Employee agrees to complete electronic timekeeping obligation in accordance with the Turnkey billable and non-billable time keeping policy
  • Continuously strive to improve Turnkey processes and documentation for service engagements, client approvals, change management, status reports and other required formal project communications with clients.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of Microsoft Dynamics technical design and development experience, ideally with AX 2012 or higher and GP 2010 and higher 
  • Desired development exp: C#, X++ and T-SQL
  • Participation in 10+ Microsoft Dynamics AX and/or GP implementations and development projects
  • Demonstrated history of successful full-cycle implementation projects
  • Experience in maintaining multiple Dynamics environments
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, activities, and tasks

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent interpersonal/communication skills
  • Bachelors or Master's Degree in Computer Science or other technical discipline
  • Dynamics AX, SQL, certifications, highly desire
